About the event
Open to U17 through to U23 male and female riders, the series has been developed by Cycling
NZ to provide a series of track racing opportunities for developing riders in a competitive and supported environment.
The objectives of the series include offering riders the opportunity to develop increased tactical and technical awareness (and bunch skills for Endurance riders) and to provide riders with relevant and practicable educational, coaching, and tactical/technical workshops.
The series is also designed to provide a platform for coaches to share experience and knowledge, and provide opportunities to grow understanding on the skills specific to guiding, coaching, and supporting their young riders.
Each round will also host a number of workshops to support the objectives of the series including tactics, race analysis, coaching clinics, application and intent of rules.
